Calcium Stearate is a salt formed by the carboxylation of calcium. It is a component of some lubricants, surfactants, as well as many foods. Calcium stearate is commonly used as an internal lubricant and release agent in polyolefin processing applications. It is hygroscopic and can also be used as an adhesion protectant in rubber applications.
